We have been eating in Novalja restaurants for the best part of a decade and, apart from the odd time (which you get anywhere!), we have always been hugely impressed with the quality and variety of foods available in and around Novalja.

Moby Dick - Fantastic All Round Novalja Restaurant
You can not fail to notice that Moby Dick always has a lot of people at their tables and a BIG queue outside is quite common at times! That is always a good sign...in anyone’s book!
Their menu is very diverse with pasta, burgers, fish, meats, and their unbelievably big ‘Jumbo’ pizzas all being super popular with their hungry customers! By the way, their prices are incredibly good value!
Moby Dick is open from breakfast through to late so it really is ideal for a quick meal, a midday feast, or even an evening out with friends!

Starac i More - First Class Novalja Fish Restaurant
This Novalja restaurant delivers delicious fresh fish dishes direct from the local Adriatic sea. The food is fresh and the flavours are very authentic to Croatia.
Yes, it is a little bit more expensive (only a little, mind) compared to the other Novalja restaurants but you certainly get what you pay for.
There are other excellent choices besides fish but that’s what we always opt for! When in Rome eh?!
We have to mention the waiting staff. They are very attentive, knowledgeable about the food, assist with your choices and are very professional. Always a top-notch experience at Starac i More!
Konoba No 5 - Classic Novalja Restaurant
Konoba No5 is a beautiful restaurant located in the centre of Novalja, a few hundred metres from the main square.
No 5 is a huge hit with the locals and is open all year round which says a lot about its popularity.
No 5 has a traditional menu of beautiful Croatian dishes and we have never had a bad meal here! It is a family run business and the staff are impeccable and professional.
If you want to do as the locals do, do it No 5 style!
Didova Kuca (Grandma’s House) - Fabulously Unique Novalja Restaurant
STOP! We told a small white lie! Grandma’s house is not actually in Novalja but is situated in Simuni just a few miles down the main road into Novalja town. But it is an incredible place and one of our regular haunts so we just had to mention it.
You have to visit this wonderful and colourful place to believe it! It is set in a fabulous harbourside location and is run by a local family who serves stunning traditional Croatian dishes.
It is covered in vines, has a unique ambience and is absolutely full of quirky things.
If you want something a little different, this is the No 1 choice! (Try the fish wrapped in paper by the way! Trust us on that)
Boskinac - Michelin Star Novalja Restaurant
This is a no brainer if you are looking for fine dining whilst here in Novalja. Boskinac has been awarded a Michelin star in 2019 and is the only Michelin star rated Novalja restaurant.
The restaurant is part of Hotel Boškinac and is known for its interpretation of traditional island cuisine, transformed in a creative, modern way.
Their menu includes a wide selection of fish and Pag lamb dishes, cheeses, prosciutto and other fresh, seasonal ingredients, with olive oil, herbs and honey.
Award-winning fine dining at its very best right here in Novalja. How lucky we are!
